2012 Scottsdale Arabian Show

John O’Hara won the Open Reining Futurity on TA Mozart, for the second year in a row! TA Mozart is owned by Kimberly Tillman, and now has earnings of over $39,100!

Congratulations to Cori Vokoun on her multiple titles! Showing her gelding Premium Buckshot, pictured above, Cori won the Non Pro Reining Purebred Derby and $7,500! This duo also won the Purebred Reining 18-44 AAOTR Championship. Cork also showed Buckshots Lady Luck to the Half Arab Reining 18-44 AAOTR Championship and Dunits Finest to the Half Arab Reining 18-44 AAOTR Reserve Championship.

Kimberly Tillman & FR Scarlet Ohara win the Limited & Intermediate Non Pro Half Arab Derbies! The duo also placed 3rd in the Non Pro Derby.

“MVA Scarlet Orzel is a living legend in the Arabian industry and has earned the title of being one of the greatest Pure Bred Reining Mares ever. Winning US National PB Open Reining Championship, Youth National PB Reining Championship and winning the prestigious Scottsdale Open PB Reining Championship 4 years in a row not to mention all the other Regional and class A show championships.

Scarlet was 14 now and I had already made my mind up we were going to retire her after winning Scottsdale for the 4th year straight in February 08′. 2 years prior, at US Nationals, Scarlet tied up on us and has just not been the same since. Because of age and her job she is dealing with more stress on her body which we believe she is bringing a lot of that on herself. We say that because, yes we do deal with some soreness issues at home but when we get to the shows is where we begin to see her tighten up which of course affects her mentally and physically. Soreness through her back, stifles and hocks affecting her movement and her attitude.

In March after returning from Scottsdale we put Scarlet on Steadfast to see if it would target the issues we were having with her. After 1 month of being on Steadfast we began to notice a difference in Scarlet. Her movement was much more fluid and she did not seem to be showing any signs of the usual soreness. So, we decided to take her to Region 9 Championship to see how she would react which would be the next test of Steadfast. To our surprise the old Scarlet was back. Scarlet was the most relaxed at the show and when she walked in the pen in over 2 years, Scarlet and her owner, Zollie Saxon came away with 2 Reserve Championships in PB Reining and most important we came home with a happy and sound Scarlet.
